Item Description
January 1958. Each artboard is 13.5x20.5" with pencils and inks by Alfonso Greene. Story is titled "This Man Is Wanted!" Three of four page story of a deputy stepping up when the sheriff is out of town. Lt. aging/handling wear. Story pages 1, 3-4. Lt. aging/handling wear. Comic Code stamp on page backs. First page has type cut-ins at top, 8" horizontal tear sealed with archival tape on back, pencil rough horse on back and has been partially colored with primary colored inks. Third page has tape cut-ins, a horse pencil rough on back and is partially colored with crayon. Still group is VG. Alfonso Greene (1927-1977) drew "Black Pirate" and "Wonder Women of History" for National/DC. In the 1950s he was present at Atlas/Marvel with back-up features in Western Kid, Kid Colt Outlaw, Two-Gun Kid and Wyatt Earp. He was also present in titles like Journey Into Mystery, Marines in Battle, Mystic, Strange Tales and World of Fantasy. From the archives of artist Jack Keller.
