Item Description
1.25" w/back paper of maker Weber Erichson Bunting Co. 221 Diamond St. Pittsburg, Pa." The button shows Honus Wagner in uniform with prominent "P" on his cap and was created for his special day at Pittsburgh's Forbes Field on June 22, 1917. Wagner began his MLB career in 1897 with the Louisville Colonels ball club before moving to the Pirates in 1900, where he would spend the next 18 seasons of his career, retiring following the 1917 season. Widely regarded as the best shortstop of all-time, Wagner was one of the original five National Baseball Hall of Fame inductees in 1936.
