Item Description
1" tall die-cut figural brass pin w/"Superman" comic book title logo w/© at bottom. Dates to 1941, the year the first Fleischer "Superman" cartoon debuted. This pin was pictured in the cartoon movie press book. These were individually serially numbered just above the logo and between his feet. The red number is all but gone on this example. Otherwise only tiny traces of paint wear. Some luster remains. Still a sharp looking example of this rare pin. Fine. We have only offered a few others in our 57 years, the highest serial number of those was 165. Harry Matetsky Collection.
