Item Description
2.5x3.75x7/8"empty boxes. From a set of six © Universal Pictures Co. Inc. Fronts have photo portraits, backs are "Cut-Out" pin-ups w/photos inside ornate frame design. This lot includes #1 Frankenstein (Glenn Strange), #4 Wolf Man and #5 Mummy (both Lon Chaney Jr.). Others in this set were Dracula, Creature and Phantom. Bottom box flaps have mail-away offer in which flaps and cash could be redeemed for a 6 ft. Frankenstein poster and monster wallet (Dracula is shown). #1 has black ink added to front panel photo (hair, lips and cheek) and moderate handling wear. Side panel popped loose. VG. #4 has handling wear, side panel popped loose. Fine. #5 is a high grade example, NM. Scarce boxes. Roxanne Toser Collection.
