1.25" w/union bug at 6 o'cock & "M. Pudlin Co. Inc." back paper. Portraits of Harry Raymond, Robert Minor (Fighting Bob), William Z. Foster and Israel Amter- organizers for the March 6, 1930 Communist Party International Unemployment Day demonstration against hunger, joblessness and working conditions. Additional text "International Labor Defense" at bottom. Trivial surface wear from limited use. NM. The multi-city demonstration saw huge turnouts in Chicago, New York, Detroit, Pittsburgh, Youngstown, Cleveland and other industrial centers w/crowds estimated at 1.25 million in total. At the New York event clashes w/police devolved into a riot and the four organizers were arrested and sentenced to maximum sentences of three years.
