Item Description
1.75". No maker.  Illustration of a revolutionary soldier at center w/arms raised clutching an automatic rifle courtesy of Minister of Culture Emory Douglas. Additional text "Washington D.C. Nov. 1970." The event was to be held at Howard University but authorities pressed the University and other institutions to deny space and Howard ultimately refused to provide the space free of charge. Huey Newton spoke on Nov. 29 at St. Stephens of The Incarnation Church and promised another gathering that ultimately never materialized. Fain scattered spotting, most notably on soldier's hat and along righ edge at 3 o'clock. VF.
