Item Description
Lot of two. First is 1.25" button reading "Vote For Stengel." Made by Star Engraving Co. Metal collet and back have surface rust. However, this does not impact the cello button at all which remains bright, glossy and displays Exc. Scarce. Second is flicker item w/2.25" disc attached to die-cut thin plastic backing that has bar pin on reverse. One flicker image has Mets logo and shows Mr. Met swinging and missing at a pitch as a tear drops from one eye. The other flicker is text only and reads "So What! I'm Lovable." At bottom of backing is text "Happy Birthday Casey/July 30, 1964." Flicker has © of Metropolitan Baseball Club Inc. Neat design for this special one day event issue. Exc. Both are Paul Muchinsky Collection Book Examples.

Casey played MLB from 1912-1925. He then managed from 1934-1965, his final years were with the Mets- 1962-65. During his carrer he was a nine-time World Series champion. Member of the Major League Baseball All-time Team. His number was retired by both the Yankees and Mets and he is a member of the Mets HOF. Inducted into the National Baseball Hall Of Fame in 1966.
