Item Description
1.25" w/ink inscribed National Equipment Co. back paper. Canton, SD had a population of 1,943 according to the 1900 census. The small community on the lower East side of the state must have had a contingent of GOP McKinley supporters to produced this striking jugate. A horizontal scratch in top center cream background seen in reflected light. Otherwise light even age. Extremely Fine. Rare. John Hillhouse Collection.
