Item Description
6.5" overall w/ 1.75" cello. H. Strauss back paper. A few small separations along the right edge of ribbon. Cello has small cut along extreme outer edge at 3 o'clock. Overall Fine. The 1914 New York gubernatorial election was a three-way race between Martin Glynn, Charles Whitman (Republican), and William Sulzer (American/Prohibition). Glynn was the incumbent, who came to power after Sulzer was impeached and removed from office in 1913. Sulzer, formerly a Democrat, served as a spoiler in the election, receiving about 9% of the vote, which led to the election of Whitman.
