Item Description
7/8". No maker. Spanish text translates to "The Dodgers Are Here." Made in 1947 when the Dodgers had spring training in Cuba. Branch Rickey opted to move the Dodgers down to Cuba for spring training that season specifically to keep the Jackie experiment as low profile as possible prior to making his MLB debut on April 15. Roy Campanella was also a rookie attending spring training down in Cuba in '47. Trace of oxidation to metal back. Front has minimal wear only seen upon magnification. Remains glossy and Exc. A Dodgers rarity and a must have for the Jackie Robinson completest.
