Item Description
Glossy 7.75x10" photo shows Richard Petty at the 1992 Miller Genuine Draft 400 (Richmond, VA), wearing his STP jumpsuit, wearing his trademark cowboy hat and sunglasses. Photo has been boldly signed in black felt tip pen. Thin .25" surface scratch at upper right, o/w Exc. Comes w/JSA COA.
Petty is a racing legend, competing 1958-1992 in the former NASCAR Grand National and Winston Cup Series (now called the NASCAR Cup Series). He was the first driver to win the Cup Series championship seven times (a record he shares w/Dale Earnhardt and Jimmie Johnson), while also winning a record 200 races during his career. This included winning the Daytona 500 a record seven times and winning a record 27 races in one season (1967). He was inducted into the inaugural class of the NASCAR HOF in 2010.
