Item Description
Lot of four 11x17" DC Comics artboards, each w/pen and ink original art by Mike Hoffman, who provided art for three issues of Hellblazer and a short run on Swamp Thing. All four pages are from Hellblazer #48, published by DC, Dec. 1991. Art has been inked by Stan Woch and is for story pages 18-19 and 22-23 from pre-Vertigo "Loves Kills" storyline that saw John Constantine investigating and seeking revenge for a couple killed in an intentionally set pub fire. Constantine appears in three or five panels on first page and in all panels of last two pages. He does not appear on second page. Top margins have penciled/inked title issue/pages numbers w/some scattered editorial notations at margins. First page has printed stat word balloons/captions in two panels while second page has single pasted stat word balloon. Scattered text replacement strips. Back of each has DC Comics copyright inkstamp. First page has strip of white tape at top center margin, not affecting art, which remains clean and Exc.
