Item Description
3" w/"Western Badge L.A. - Anaheim" on curl. Faint scratches visible only in reflected light, most notably a diagonal hairline on first "N" in "Johnny". Extremely Fine. This was likely issued only to JFK staff who were instructed to wear blue with all staff material being printed in red & white as confirmed by Kennedy Secretary, Helen Lempart. These buttons were delivered to the staff residence in Los Angeles during the DNC. According to legend, Frank Sinatra knew that after JFK was the nominee he could no longer call him "Johnny" and had these buttons produced during the convention. John Hillhouse Collection.
