Item Description
11" long w/1.75" sepia toned real photo portrait button suspended from ribbon at center. Brass hanger has "District Of Columbia" cello insert and a high relief diecut brass medallion of the U.S. Capitol suspended from loop. Ribbon has additional text at bottom "On His Return To The United States" and "August 30, 1906." Cello has only light wear. Ribbon is crisp and bright w/only one tiny tear 1/8" tear along left edge just below "United States". Overall extremely Fine. Bryan traveled w/his family to 18 European and Asian countries in 1905 publishing a travelogue and speaking publicly along the way. His return to the US was a major event as he was by then viewed as the presumed Democratic nominee for 1908. Larry Brokofsky Collection.
