Item Description
22x27.25" on cardboard by "Globe Poster- Baltimore". Promoting concert on Sun. Sept. 29 at Charlotte Coliseum featuring the Queen of Soul. This day-glo color design is easily one of the best looking Franklin posters extant; added to that is the fantastic list of iconic tunes including "Baby, Baby, Baby", "Chain Of Fools", "Respect", "Prove It", "Take A Look", "Natural Woman" and "Think". Faint moisture mark at top right margin, age at edges and light handling wear. Fine. If you were thinking up the perfect Aretha poster your mind's eye couldn't do it better than this. In 1968 Franklin won her first Grammy award and was presented w/the SCLC Drum Beat award by her long time friend and civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr.
