Item Description
13-1/8x41-1/8" on thin uncoated stock. Promoting 11 concerts on the "Tour Over Europe 1980" including the show in Berlin that was the final time Zeppelin played together on-stage w/ drummer John Bonham. Singer Robert Plant's aversion to touring the US led manager Peter Grant to schedule this tour where the band would play smaller venues w/a more limited stage show than in recent years. The back-to-basics attack helped rejuvenate the band w/bassist John Paul Jones recalling "...we remember back to what we were doing. Punk kind of woke us up again... It was about to go for a change of gears and round two." Round two was intended to be another American tour but on September 24 while rehearsing for the coming US onslaught Bonham was found unresponsive after a day of heavy drinking. Vertical folds, scattered handling creases, tape stains and paper loss at top center. Good. Originally obtained from a person who pulled this down at a venue. A historic survivor that was truly used to promote the shows.
