Item Description
20x30-1/8" Masonite board w/mixed media original art for front cover to VHS cassette box for 1993 Paramount release of 1970 French gangster film directed by Jacques Deray and starring Jean-Paul Belmondo, Alain Delon and Catherine Rouvel. Based on real-life gangsters Paul Carbone and François Spirito, who collaborated w/Nazi Germany during the occupation of France in World War II. Art is unsigned and artist is unknown, but features great portraits of Belmondo and Delon in front of 1940s sedan. Art has textured paper overlay attached at top w/"Paramount Home Video - Borsalino Keyart" job label at lower right w/handwritten "Gorgeous!" notation. Board shows some scattered edge/corner tip wear and has some scattered age spots at left, but art is o/w clean and VF/Exc.
