Item Description
Each is a 7/8" dia. litho, no maker's name. Back of each has printed "Read Superman Action Comics Magazine" text. The 1939 button features one-dimensional lettering and is the first Superman button, issued by DC Comics in 1939. Tiny 1/8" nick between second and third letters w/tiny traces of wear but still glossy and VF overall. The 1942 button has "Superman" in three-dimensional lettering and only shows tiny traces of wear upon close inspection. Glossy and Exc. Scarce and early pair. Danny Fuchs Collection.
