Item Description
Pair of single-sided promotional cards issued by New York, NY radio station WOR 710, both dating to the 1940s. 4x6" card has classic image of Superman breaking chains w/"Superman" comic book title/logo above. Text on card notes that the show does not have a studio audience and as such, WOR cannot provide tickets. Paperclip impression at top center w/some lt. scattered edge wear. VF. 3.5x6" card features Superman's "S" symbol and "Superman" comic book title/logo and mentions other radio shows carried by the station, including "Uncle Don, Mysterious Traveler, Roosty Of The AAF, Chick Carter, Full Speed Ahead" and "Tom Mix" in addition to Superman. Right margin has two thin streaks on ink staining to edges, but card is o/w VF. Both are Mutual file copies as each has "File - Mutual" inkstamp on back. Both are rare. Danny Fuchs Collection.
