2.5x7.5" slip of paper bears full body illustration of Superman w/comic book title/logo and was issued by Sport-Wear Hosiery Mills Inc., makers of a line of Superman hosiery. ©1949 Com. Pub. Inc. Slip guarantees "3 Months' Wear Or 3 New Pairs" of socks w/back serving as a return form w/lines for name and address while front has line for date and place of purchase. Unused. Slip is evenly aged and has some lt. scattered handling wear. VF overall. Very rare and the only example known to us. Danny Fuchs Collection.
