Item Description
11x15" 16-page original issue pressbook for series of 1954 films that were each comprised of three episodes of the Adventures Of Superman TV show starring George Reeves. Cover lists five different features which include - "Superman Flies Again, Superman And Scotland Yard, Superman's Peril, Superman In Exile" and "Superman And The Jungle Devil." Pressbook features numerous photos throughout and includes newspaper style articles, synopses, ideas for promotions including radio spots and contest as well as merchandise including watches, swimming supplies, lunchboxes, shirts and clothing, 3D viewer, coloring and paint set, puzzles, etc. (w/National Comics Publications, Inc. contact name/address). Pressbook also includes several ad mats, including back cover which features different one-sheet poster for each of the five features. All of these are rare. Pressbook is complete and unclipped, showing just lt. scattered wear in the form of small pinch creases to spine. A very clean, VF/Exc. copy. Scarce. Comes w/pair of high grade 11x14" original release lobby cards. "Superman's Peril" card shows Reeves as Clark Kent and is NM. "Superman In Scotland Yard" shows Noel Neill as Lois Lane. Lower right corner has 1-5/8" margin crease, but o/w card is Exc. Both come w/original glassine envelopes which show obvious wear. These lobby cards are very hard to come by and rarely come up for sale. Danny Fuchs Collection.
