Item Description
4.25" tall glass jam jar w/metal lid, to be used as a drinking glass. From a series of six different glasses, this is the smaller of two sizes, titled "Superman Finds The Spaceship" w/illustrations in red and "Superman" comic book title/logo and copyright in gray. M. Polaner & Son Inc. ©1964 NPP Inc. Metal lid has "Special Offer! Superman For Everyone" offer noting that for 25¢ and lid, sender would receive Roalex "Superman Sliding Square Puzzle Game" (which is shown on lid). Lid shows moderate wear w/denting and some color breaks to bottom third but remains in place for display. Lid is VG/Fine. Label features full color image of Superman and remains affixed to glass w/just some lt. wear along lower right edge. Label is VF/Exc. overall. Glass retains full luster and is Exc. Rare w/label and even rarer w/both label and lid. Our last example (w/loose label) sold for $980 in 2015. Danny Fuchs Collection.
