Item Description
1.75x3.5x9.75" box contains 8" poseable action figure of Battle Japan from the popular Battle Fever J show in Japan. Late 1970s. Box has lt. aging/wear, minor corner wear, faint surface creasing w/nice window. Window has a few minor edge marks and price sticker remnant. Overall displays VF. Figure appears Exc. and unused however chest sticker is loose at top w/tear. This Japanese market line by Popy was produced after selling boxed versions of Mego's most popular figures Superman, Batman and Spider-Man. Popy then made their own Mego-like line of figures based on Japanese superheroes. Series included Ultraman, Kamen Rider, Battle Fever J and Gatchaman. Mego style bodies w/cloth uniforms, vinyl heads, large fisted plastic gloves and boots on most. Scarce figures to find, especially boxed.
