Item Description
Cut is .75x5.75". A medal of honor recipient, Ames was the last general officer of the Civil War from either side to die, passing away at 93 years of age in 1933. He also served as a U.S. Senator representing Mississippi from 1870-1874, as well as Governor of Mississippi from 1868-1870 and again from 1874-1876. Signature is inscribed "Very Truly Yours."
