Item Description
1.25". No maker. Classic image of bears holding bats and facing each other. This version includes the word "Cubs", there is a similar version w/o the team name. Spring pin holds pair of ribbons w/solid celluloid baseball. The 1945 Chicago Cubs finished in first place in the National League with a regular season record of 98-56 under manager Charlie Grimm. The club was led by the offensive prowess of first baseman Phil Cavaretta and third baseman Stan Hack, while the pitching staff was led by 22 game winner Hank Wyse. The Cubs would go on to lose a tough seven game series to the American League champions, Detroit Tigers. Trace of age to ribbons. Button is glossy, Exc.
