Item Description
1.5". No maker but w/three union bugs on curl. Spring pin holds two-color ribbon. The 1945 Detroit Tigers won the American League pennant with a record of 88-65 under manager Steve O'Neil. The offense was led by National Baseball Hall of Fame slugging first baseman, Hank Greenberg, while the mound corps was headed by future HOF starter Hal "The Prince" Newhouser. Detroit would go on to win the 1945 World Series over the Chicago Cubs in seven exciting games. Trace of age to metal back. Front is glossy and Exc., as is ribbon.
