Item Description
From same issue as previous lot, includes original pen and ink art for "Scribbly's Cartoon Corner" single page feature, in which Scribbly teaches his little brother how to draw. Art is by Sheldon Mayer (1917-1991), who created, wrote and drew the Sugar And Spike title. Art is on 14.25x21.5" artboard and features six panels plus hand-lettered/inked title strip at top. Printed "Sugar And Spike" title stat pasted at top of page; along w/inked month of publication and issue/page numbers. Artboard has Comics Code Authority inkstamp on front at bottom left w/some scattered margin notations. Artboard shows moderate wear along left margin w/five .5" to 1" margin tears, one extending slightly into art. 2" tear at center right. Artboard also shows scattered dust soiling. Fine overall. Comes w/two smaller artboard w/pasted stats for game/riddle features. Matching title and issue numbers at top and each has Comics Code Authority inkstamp. Fine overall.
