Item Description
2-3/8x3.25" card features "A K.O. For Tokyo" w/anti-Japanese graphic of boxer w/"V" for Victory boxing glove striking stereotypical depiction of Japanese man wearing Rising Sun flag. Bottom features patriotic design w/"Remember Pearl Harbor" text, dating this piece to early 1942. Only handed out to Cracker Jack Co. employees and was not for general distribution through their products, which equaled a very limited print run. Back features quote from Franklin D. Roosevelt from his May 27, 1941 fireside chat radio speech titled "On An Unlimited National Emergency." Of note, Cracker Jack was awarded wartime food contracts. Evenly aged w/scattered handling wear including corner crease at upper left. Still VF overall. Very rare due to limited print run and first we've seen of this rare piece of World War II ephemera in our 57 years.
