Item Description
2-3/8x4.5" clipped sheet of textured paper has been signed in black ink by American poet and educator Henry Wadsworth Longfellow (1807-1882), known as one of the fireside poets from New England. His original works include the poems "Paul Revere's Ride, The Song of Hiawatha" and "Evangeline." He was also known for his translation work, becoming the first American to completely translate Dante Alighieri's Divine Comedy. Longfellow has added "1881" date below his signature, which was signed just a year before his death. Sheet shows some lt. handling wear but is o/w Exc. Comes w/JSA LOA.
