Item Description
7x12" painted art pair by Norman Maurer on heavy paper for the pre-production of The Three Stooges Meet Hercules. Both have been mounted to mat board and then mounted to wooden frames. Art is loosening and could possibly be removed or could easily be re-glued. First piece is Moe, Larry and Curly Joe along with Schuyler and the King of Rhodes on board a slave ship. Minor aging/wear only. Exc. Second piece is King Odius looking at the spectacle in the colosseum. Lt. aging/wear. Lower right corner tip missing and .5" tear at top. Right edge of paper has slt. curl where detached. VF. Both signed at bottom right and dated '61. From the Moe Howard and Norman Estate Auction. General movie storyline has The Stooges, a scientist and his girlfriend building a time machine and ending up in ancient Rome. After some classic misadventures, they travel back to the present, dragging along King Odius and dropping him off in the middle of Native Americans on the warpath.
