Item Description
11.5x16.5" DC Comics artboard features pen and ink original art for story page 9 of Detective Comics #644, published by DC May 1992. Art is by Tom Lyle (1953-2019) w/inks by Scott Hanna. Page features six panels, showing Batman and Robin (Tim Drake) w/Commission Gordon at crime scene left by Elmo "Buzz" Galvan, a criminal captured by Batman and sentenced to death by electric chair. He survived, gaining superhuman electrical powers in the process, swearing vengeance on witnesses to his execution. Batman appears in four panels, three w/Robin. Commissioner Gordon appears in five panels. Top margin has inked title, issue/pages numbers and lower left margin has inked note to colorist. Bottom left margin has been signed in black felt tip pen by Lyle, who added "99" date. Back has DC copyright inkstamp. Art is clean and Exc.
