3x5.5" mailing envelope w/"The Shadow" illustration and D.L. & W. Coal Co. return address and typed recipient name/address and comes w/original plain cardboard insert and 2.75x4.25" double-sided paper w/detailed instructions while back is an unused order form for additional rings that were available for 10¢ apiece. Both sides feature Shadow images, front text includes "You Are Now A Member Of The Shadow Stop-Crime Club." Envelope shows expected wear from mailing w/creases and some small tears/separations at flap hinge. Paper slip is unused but show handling wear w/vertical crease at center and scattered indents to order form side. Both envelope and paper are Fine overall. Glow-in-the-dark plastic ring has simulated blue coal lump on the top while the bands depict The Shadow w/gun and "The Shadow - Blue Coal" names around top rim edges. Ring shows slight age but still glows strongly. Exc. We have only offered a few examples complete w/envelope and paper in our 57 years, and this is the first to include the original insert.
