Item Description
Smaller 2.75x4-5/8" mailing envelope w/slightly different "The Shadow" illustration and Toronto Blue Coal return address and typed recipient name/address. Comes w/2.75x4.25" double-sided paper w/detailed instructions while back is an ad for "'Blue Coal' Heat Regulator," differing from the American-issued kit (see previous lot) in both paper color, design and content, though front text includes same "You Are Now A Member Of The Shadow Stop-Crime Club" message. Envelope size and design is also different. Envelope shows expected wear from mailing and has staple hole on flap. Paper slip has vertical crease at center as issued and shows scattered handling wear. Both envelope and paper are Fine overall. Both are also Hake's Pop Culture Guide Photo Examples. Very rare and the only example we have ever offered in our 57 years. Glow-in-the-dark plastic ring has simulated blue coal lump on the top while the bands depict The Shadow w/gun and "The Shadow - Blue Coal" names around top rim edges. Ring is in choice, high grade NM condition and still glows strongly. A must-have variant for The Shadow and premium ring collectors. Robert M. Overstreet Ring Collection.
