Item Description
Large and impressive 27x40-1/8" artboard (mounted to cardboard) features pastel original art by Mary Wilshire, a comic artist best known for her work on Marvel Comics characters Red Sonja and Firestar. Art depicts Emma Frost as The White Queen, during her early years as an X-Men villain. She is seen w/her Massachusetts Academy students The Hellions, who were instructed to use their mutant gifts as evil counterpoints to the X-Men. This art was published as a poster by Marvel in 1984. Wilshire has signed and dated art at bottom center. Margins shows expected pastel rubs and exhibit some scattered wear. Art has some spots of aging to top black field (where poster title was printed) but is o/w clean and VF. Gary and Dawn Guzzo Collection.
