Item Description
Pair of original silver gelatin photos, smaller 5x7" photo is fan photo and shows Al Hodge, the radio actor who portrayed The Green Hornet/Britt Reid on The Green Hornet radio program. ©1938 The Green Hornet Inc. Large hornet shadow appears behind Hodge and photo has facsimile inscription/signature. This same image was also used for a premium postcard and dairy company photo. Some lt. handling wear but VF overall. Larger 6.25x7-1/8" photo shows Keye Luke as Kato, whom Luke played in the 1939-1941 Green Hornet movie serials. Back has Hollywood advertising approval inkstamp on back, which is covered w/glue staining as once mounted. Photo shows scattered handling wear w/1.75" crease at upper left corner. Fine overall. Both are rare, and Keye Luke photo is the first example we've seen in our 57 years. Harry Matetsky Collection.
