6x9x1.5" deep illustrated cardboard box w/die-cut display main panel contains Kit No. 626-98, consisting of six tin of "One Hour Humbrol Plastic Enamel" paints and paintbrush. ©1963 Aurora. Box text reads "Basic Monster Colors - Use Them Direct From Cans Or Mix-'Em For Weird Effects." Colors include - "Bloody Red, Tombstone White, Ghoulish Yellow, Midnight Black, Deadly Blue" w/green being the "Surprise 6th Color." Die-cut box features intricate die-cut tree branch design and shows much less wear than typically seen, w/just a few scattered small creases and some lt. corner tip wear. Box is VF overall. Illustrated insert features same haunted house image as seen on back of box and has die-cut tray to hold paints. Exc. Some paint tins have paint around lids (and green tin has sliver of rust to rim), but are VF overall. Missing 8.5x11" color wheel chart w/illustrations of Aurora's Universal Monsters model kits. A must-have for Aurora collectors, this is by far the best condition example of this very rare Aurora set, of which we have only offered a few times in our 57 years. Janusey Brothers Collection.
