Item Description
1.75" w/W&H paper in use only 1898-1900. Pictured is a "Kissing Bug" facing a seated rabbit which is a symbolic visual pun of the town name "Cedar Rapids" which the locals pronounced as 'See Der Rabbits." Full text is "Said The Kissing Bug/Meet Us At/The Cedar Rapids Carnival Oct. 2-7, 1899." Red text was once a little brighter with all else glossy and Exc. Coincidentally, the town baseball team was known as the Cedar Rapid Bunnies of the Western Association from 1896-1898 and other leagues from 1904-1942. One known. Rare.
