Item Description
Large and impressive 44.75x59" thick stock poster features great Mike Zeck graphics of Captain America, The Incredible Hulk and Spider-Man reading an "X-Men" comic w/Hulk word bubble asking "Where Spider-Man Get X-Men Comic?" to which Spidey replies "Where I Get All My Marvel Comics! At The Comic Art Gallery! They Get New Comics Early!" ©1982 Marvel Comics Group. Additional advertising text notes the New York City shop stocks a variety of comic-related materials, noting Marvel titles including Moon Knight, Micronauts, Marvel Graphic Novel, Epic Comics, Ka-Zar, Marvel Fanfare, Marvel Age as well as DC Comics titles including Omega Men, Warlord, Camelot 3000, New Teen Titans, Legion of Superheroes and more. Bottom center has additional paper sheet pasted to poster, advertising Village Comics, also in New York. "X-Men" title as well as images of Wolverine and Cyclops have been neatly colored w/marker, nicely complimenting poster's display. Poster has been folded as issued and shows some scattered wear along fold lines. Faint 1x3.75" stain at bottom center below Wolverine image w/some scattered faint staining along top margin. Upper right margin edge has some tears/wear. Fine/VF overall, but would make for an amazing linen-backed display for any collector's comic room. Rare and first we've offered.
