Item Description
17.5x23" on card stock. Promoting a show at Corcoran Art School in Washington, DC before they became a household name after their first album entered the spotlight. At this point, the 1978 single "Rock Lobster" had gained a lot of attention, and the B-52's were beginning to gain a reputation as the "quirky" side of New Wave, w/female members Kate Pierson and Cindy Wilson adorning beehive hairdos. Lobster + Phone = B52's & Verbs" is a reference to the B52's hit single "Rock Lobster" and the Urban Verbs' "Ring-Ring (My Telephone's Talking)". Edge and handling wear, moisture left side, residue bordering the "A" in "School of Art", margin tear center of bottom edge, corner bumps, scattered tack holes upper corners, fold line upper right. VG. A rare survivor of the iconic band's pre-fame college rock days.
