Item Description
5-3/8x8.75" cardstock folder features decoder used to decipher "Superman's Secret Message" in each issue of Action Comics. Similar to one issued in "Supermen Of America" club kit, this variety was given away at movie theaters in 1943 as indicated on the front cover stating "Motion Picture Membership." Front of folder also has iconic image of Superman breaking chains. Back of folder has listing/images of DC Comics comic book titles including - Action Comics, Superman, Detective Comics, Batman, World's Finest Comics, All-Star Comics, Green Lantern, Flash Comics, All-Flash Quarterly, More Fun Comics, Sensation Comics and more. Pictured w/title logos are tiny portraits of Superman, Batman, Green Lantern, The Flash, The Spectre and Starman. Folder is evenly aged and shows some scattered handling wear w/vertical creases along fold line. Fine/VF overall. Scarce and one of the few we've offered in our 57 years. Harry Matetsky Collection.
