Item Description
Kit includes original envelope w/"Supermen Of America" return address and typed recipient name/address. Envelope shows scattered wear/aging and is Fine. 5.5x8-3/8" welcome letter features classic image of Superman breaking chains and notes contents of kit, mentioning "Superman Button." Certificate differs in that it features "Detective Comics, Inc." copyright at bottom but no date and bears "217315" issue number. Horizontal fold at center as issued. Small streak of staining at top left but o/w VF/Exc. Cardstock "Superman's Secret Code" decoder folder (used to decipher "Superman's Secret Message" in each issue of Action Comics) has iconic image of Superman breaking chains and back has text/code. Folded as issued w/neatly penciled name matching that seen on envelope/certificate. Evenly aged w/some lt. handling wear. VF. 2x2.5" finely woven fabric patch features classic image of Superman breaking chains and is surrounded by "Supermen Of America" text and "Strength - Courage - Justice" motto. Scattered aging/wear.
