Item Description
Glossy 8x9-7/8" publicity photo shows actor George Reeves (1914-1959) in Superman costume as he appeared in the 1952-1958 Adventures Of Superman TV series. Photo has been signed in black ink, Reeves inscribing " To Rodger - Thanks For Watching - Your Friend - George Reeves - 10/14/55." Photo has pin hole at top center and shows moderate handling wear resulting in all over creases and a number of tiny surface indents, many of which are only noticeable in reflected light. Inscription/signature are a bit lt. but remain totally legible. VG overall. Due to Reeves' mysterious death at age 45, his signature is rare and highly desirable as such; even more so on a Superman photo during his prime years playing the character. Comes w/JSA LOA.
