Item Description
When it comes to Star Wars lore, few items are held in as much reference as the Rocket-Firing Boba Fett. Ultimately an unfulfilled promise from Kenner that still festers in the hearts of many Star Wars collectors, the chance to finally obtain a vintage Boba Fett action figure capable of delivering on that rocket-firing promise is but a lofty dream to many. Only available in prototype form, opportunities for obtaining one of these highly coveted figures are limited as only a finite number were produced for safety testing purposes by Kenner. Of these, several exist in rather rough condition, having been subjected to a variety of safety testing procedures that included but were not limited to heating, freezing and other destructive trials. All was for naught as the potential hazard presented by the small rocket outweighed the necessity of the gimmick, resulting in only "non-firing" examples with sonically welded missiles being released to the public.

Offered here is an AFA graded and encapsulated 3.75" tall unpainted prototype of the infamous rocket-firing Boba Fett action figure from Kenner's popular 1979 Star Wars toyline. AFA-graded 85 NM+ and cased with AFA's updated laser cut casing style, which displays the prototype figure and rocket separately; L-Slot rocket-firing mechanism is clearly visible from the back of case (spring clearly visible). Archival case. Comes encapsulated with notarized Collectible Investment Brokerage (CIB) COA.
