Item Description
This is the 7" tall size (see larger size #1692) and the figure is all wood w/exception of rubber-covered fabric ears and fabric-covered wire tail w/wooden tip. Figure is c. 1931 and was distributed by George Borgfeldt. Mickey has bold chest decal featuring his first name which is quite intact although bottom edge of decal has a couple of small dots missing so the text "Des. & Copyright Walt Disney" is not totally complete but still easily readable. The only other wear of significance is a .25" dia. spot of the white facial paint off the front surface of his nose although plenty of white remains to cover the underneath wood. He has a rather short black nose which points upward rather than outward as designed. Typically seen w/his body and shoes in red rather than yellow. The toy takes its name from the rounded shape of his hands. An extremely Fine, complete and all original example from the Deak Stagemyer Collection. See next item.
