Item Description
10.5x15.75" artboard has pen and ink original art by Jim Aparo (1932-2005), best known for his work on Aquaman, Batman and The Spectre. Offered here is the original art for page 13 of The Phantom Stranger #12, published by DC Comics in April 1971. Six panel page is from "Marry Me - Marry Death!" story by Robert Kanigher and shows man and woman embracing, only for man to hallucinate about his dead love, causing him to run to crypt to make sure she's actually dead, where he is confronted by The Phantom Stranger. Phantom Stranger appears in last two panels. Top margin has stamped title w/inked issue/page numbers. Back has Comics Code Authority inkstamp. Art panels have some even aging but remain clean and Exc.
