Item Description
11x17" offset litho on thin tan stock produced before the show for promotion. Art by Mike King signed in pencil on reverse. Promoting a concert at Pine Street Theatre on Oct. 2 in Portland, OR featuring Sonic Youth. Artist Mike King's band Hell Cows opened the show along w/Obituaries. King's design features an image of Sonic Youth's Thurston Moore and Kim Gordon in mid performance. Tiny corner bend at lower right and two short horizontal margin tears at lower right. Exc. Supporting their album Sister, the Phillip K. Dick inspired concept album, that saw the New Yorker noise rockers in transition from their no-wave roots tilting towards art rock. Though it is often overshadowed by their 1988 follow-up masterpiece Daydream Nation, Sister is considered among the best indie rock albums of the 1980s.
