Item Description
11x17" offset litho on thin white stock produced before the show for promotion. Art by Mike King of Crash Designs featuring stylized Batman & Batgirl as played by Adam West and Yvonne Craig in the 1960s hit TV series. Artist signed in pencil at lower right. Promoting a concert at Moore Theatre on May 11 in Seattle, WA featuring Butthole Surfers. The Austin, TX band was well known in underground circles for their anarchic live shows often including disturbing layered film projections, cymbals set ablaze, Kathleen Lynch the naked dancer and more antics making for an indulgent nihilistic experience skirting the line of acceptable taste. Later in 1991 the band spent the summer on the Lollapalooza tour further garnering mainstream exposure. Reverse has pencil inscription of song lyrics not affecting display. Scattered holes from being removed from a telephone pole, loss at bottom right corner, faint moisture and horizontal folds. Good. A scarce survivor w/superb graphics making it among the most interesting BHS posters from the Northwest.
