2-3/8x2-7/8". ACC# R23. Issued to promote Whitman's BLBs, there are a total of 224 cards in this extensive set. Features seven different characters each in a 32-card subset devoted to that character. Card fronts have great story art w/title, backs have expanded story text. All 14 cards in this lot are from the Flash Gordon subset which is numbered 1-32. Includes key cards #1 and 32. The CGC grades breakdown as follows - 5 EX (1), 4 VG-EX (2), 3.5 VG+ (2), 3 VG (2), 2.5 Good+ (3), 2 Good (1), 1.5 Fair (1) and 1 Poor (2). The scarcity of these cards make it one of the most difficult 1930s sets to complete. This and the following six lots make for a very rare opportunity to acquire the vast majority of the set at one time. John Grossman Collection.
