Item Description
14x22" on cardboard. Promoting a Nov. 3 concert at the Wichita Forum. The "Biggest Show Of '54" featured headliners Billy Eckstine, Peggy Lee, The Drifters and Pete Rugolo and his Orchestra. Additional acts inc. the Slate Bros., George Kirby, the Three Arnauts and Harold King. Though Peggy Lee had been a consistent hit maker since the 1940s, The Drifters were a dominant force in 1954 w/hit "Honey Love" topping the Billboard R&B chart for two months. Other top 10 hits included "Such a Night," "Lucille," "Bip Bam" and "White Christmas". Thin band of moisture along l/r and bottom edges. Corner bumps w/small loss at top left and bottom edge w/moderate age toning throughout. VG. Colors remain strong making this a guaranteed eye popper once framed.
