Item Description
22.25x28.25" on cardboard by "Globe Poster- Baltimore". Promoting a "Concert & Dance" on "Thur. Aug. 8" at "Memorial Aud." Headlined by Little Richard w/additional acts Bobby "Blue" Bland, Junior Parker, The 5 Royales, Wynonie Harris, Big Maybelle, Tab Smith, Jimmy Reed, Noble Watts and Tony Harris. Richard was in the midst of his artistic height having already charted three major hits in 1957; "The Girl Can't Help It," "Lucille" and "Jenny, Jenny". Before the end of 1957 he'd add two more in "Good Golly, Miss Molly" and "Keep A Knockin." The architect of rock 'n' roll was in good company this night w/three more future Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Famers on the bill in Bobby "Blue" Bland, The 5 Royales and Jimmy Reed. Minor age and wear at edges most notably along top edge at left. Otherwise only trivial handling and minor corner bumps. VF. An alluring lineup of influential artists who helped pave the way for the future of rock 'n' roll.
